Austin Wine Week will make its debut April 26 through May 2, 2026, introducing a new citywide event focused on elevating and celebrating Texas wine. Founded by wine educator and entrepreneur Amanda Laden, the weeklong series will bring together winemakers, chefs, restaurants, and consumers through a curated lineup of events designed to highlight the quality, diversity, and innovation emerging from Texas vineyards.
Positioned as both an educational and social experience, Austin Wine Week aims to create an approachable environment for a wide range of attendees, from seasoned wine enthusiasts to those newly exploring Texas wine. The programming emphasizes direct engagement with winemakers and industry professionals while encouraging exploration across participating venues throughout the city.

The week begins on April 26 with the SIP Texas Tasting, the festival’s primary kickoff event. The opening experience will feature more than 20 wineries, along with food offerings, music, and a broad mix of Austin-based attendees and industry professionals. Designed as a high-energy introduction to the week, the event sets the tone for the programming that follows.
On April 29, Austin Wine Week will host a Texas Wine Happy Hour at Dai Due. This event will spotlight four Texas women winemakers in a more intimate setting, offering guided tastings paired with bites from Executive Chef Janie Ramirez. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the winemakers, providing additional context and insight into their work.
Another key component of the week is the Austin Wine Week Passport Program, a citywide initiative encouraging attendees to visit participating restaurants, wine bars, and retail locations. The program is designed to promote discovery by offering Texas wines by the glass at various locations, allowing guests to experience a broader range of producers throughout the week.
Austin Wine Week also aims to support the local hospitality community by driving traffic to participating venues while increasing visibility for Texas winemakers on a larger stage. By partnering with restaurants and industry leaders, the event seeks to strengthen connections within the local food and beverage ecosystem.
Austin Wine Week will take place across multiple venues throughout the city from April 26 through May 2, 2026.
