Cinco de Mayo falls on a Monday this year, which, let’s be honest, doesn’t do us any favors. But this is Austin, we excel at turning a one-day holiday into a full weekend of eating tacos, drinking tequila, and maybe a questionable decision or two. Whether you’re looking to hit upscale vibes, or chasing margarita deals with friends, here are the best spots in Austin to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
Suerte
1800 E 6th St
On Monday, May 5, Suerte is teaming up with New York’s Frenchette for a one-night-only prix fixe dinner that blends French technique with bold Mexican flavors. It’s a four-course experience with optional wine pairings, set in one of the city’s most acclaimed dining rooms. $100 per person, and space is limited—because of course it is.

VERDAD True Modern Mexican
2700 W Anderson Ln, Suite 101
VERDAD is celebrating May 4–5 with half-off carafes of margaritas on the rocks—each one pours about four drinks, so bring friends. They’re also offering half-off quesos, from their gooey Fundido to the more Tex-Mex Texas Queso. Bonus: Perry’s smoked sausage is included with the queso, free of charge.

Arriba Abajo Rooftop Cantina
506 San Jacinto Blvd
May 4 is one giant rooftop fiesta. DJs, a mariachi band, on-site tattoo artists, and Oaxacan-inspired food like whole roasted pig and shrimp ceviche bowls are all part of the scene. Expect specialty drinks, margarita pitchers, and a boozy snow cone station. On May 5, they’re going even further with $1 carnitas and chicken tacos, and $1 shots of 21 Seeds Tequila. It’s extra, in a good way.
Chuy’s
Multiple Austin Locations
Cinco de Mayo at Chuy’s means drink deals galore: $6 house margaritas, $9 grandes in a keepsake cup, $1 floaters, and discounts on Mexican beers. They’re also serving up returning menu favorites like Pork Boom-Boom Enchiladas and a towering Macho Burrito. You know what you’re getting here, and that’s kind of the point.

Tacodeli
Multiple Locations
On May 5, grab one of Tacodeli’s beloved tacos—maybe the new Al Pastor—and wash it down with a $5 margarita. No big production, just solid tacos and tequila done right.

ONETACO.
Various Locations (excluding Burnet and Little Woodrow’s trucks)
Participating ONETACO. spots are doing half-off margaritas all day. Pair one with their tacos al pastor and you’re set. Just double check which locations are honoring the deal—because not all of them are.
Condado Tacos
501 W 6th St, Suite 100
From May 2 through May 5, Condado is offering $27 margarita pitchers, $5 Espolon shots, and bounce-back rewards for next time. Perfect if you like a plan that stretches across the whole weekend.
The League Kitchen & Tavern
10931 Stonelake Blvd, Suite 100
On Monday, enjoy $5 margaritas and themed chef specials at all locations. The Galleria location will feature Mariachi Amor from 5 to 8 p.m., which makes it the best pick if you’re leaning festive.
Spare Birdie
1400 Discovery Blvd
Running Friday through Sunday, Spare Birdie is offering 2-for-$20 margaritas and hearty birria quesadillas. Bowling lanes and virtual sports bays round it out into a full-blown activity spot, not just a drinking destination.
Dainty Dillo
10401 Hwy 71
On Sunday, May 4, Dainty Dillo is pulling out the stops with DJs, a mariachi performance, and drink deals that include margaritas, ranch waters, and tequila-shot combos. They’re even slinging boozy popsicles, all by the river from 2 to 9 p.m.
Armadillo Den
10106 Menchaca Rd
Also celebrating on May 4, Armadillo Den has Estrella Jalisco bucket specials and live Latin music from The Latin Dukes. Chill and no-nonsense, which some might argue is the way to do it.

Cosmic
Cosmic Saltillo: 1300 E 4th St
Cosmic Pickle: 121 Pickle Rd, Ste 111
Cosmic is turning Cinco into a four-day crawl, May 2–5. Grab a Cosmic-themed lotería card, complete challenges like food truck visits or spinning the shot wheel, and win prizes. They’re also pouring $5 Lalo margaritas and palomas all weekend.
District Kitchen + Cocktails
5900 W Slaughter Ln, Suite D500
Monday brings all-day happy hour pricing on margaritas at both locations. Low-key, reliable, and a solid plan for a quieter Cinco.
Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar
8300 N FM 620, Building M
All-day happy hour margaritas on May 5. It’s laid-back, with a good bar and space to breathe.
Keepers
5701 W Slaughter Ln, Suite B
If your Cinco plan is a slow burn instead of a sprint, Keepers has you covered with all-day margarita specials at happy hour pricing.
Uncle Nicky’s
Hyde Park: 4222 Duval St
South Lamar: 1123 S Lamar Blvd
Celebrate with a twist—Uncle Nicky’s is serving their Frozen Italian Margaritas for $7 all day. It’s a mash-up that works better than you’d expect.
The Roosevelt Room
307 W 5th St
For a more refined toast, try their $9 classic margarita or go smoky with a $10 mezcal version. Reservations recommended if you want a good spot.
Electric Shuffle
91 Red River St
Their Cinco celebration is built around fun: $5 shuffleboard, $5 margaritas, chips and guac, and Mexican beers. Good deals, cool space, and no pressure to overdo it.
