The Detroit-style pizza chain is partnering with GiftAMeal to fight hunger this November and bringing its food truck to the Austin Mac & Cheese Festival.
Ordering pizza isn’t usually considered an act of charity, but Jet’s Pizza is making a pretty convincing case for it this November.
The Detroit-style pizza chain is teaming up with GiftAMeal for its Season of Giving campaign, a monthlong initiative that turns an ordinary pizza night into an opportunity to help fight hunger. From November 1–30, customers at participating Jet’s Pizza locations in Austin, Chicago, and Las Vegas can help provide meals to people in need without spending anything extra.
The process couldn’t be much easier. Scan a QR code at the restaurant, upload a photo of your pizza, drink, or even a selfie, and GiftAMeal triggers a meal donation through a local food bank. No additional purchase, donation, or complicated sign-up required.
“Community has always been at the heart of Jet’s Pizza, and one of the things that makes our brand unique is that our restaurants are locally owned and operated,” said Andy Wetzel, CMO and COO of Jet’s America.
Founded in Michigan in 1978, Jet’s Pizza has grown to more than 450 locations across 25 states. Its signature Detroit-style pies are known for their thick, airy crusts, crispy caramelized cheese edges, and generous toppings.
Jet’s won’t be limiting its November appearances to its restaurants, either. The company is rolling its impressive food truck into the 2026 Austin Mac & Cheese Festival on Sunday, November 15, joining a lineup of chefs, restaurants, and food vendors at Star Hill Ranch in Bee Cave.
This year’s festival, themed Camp Mac & Cheese, brings a nostalgic summer camp atmosphere to the Hill Country, complete with creative mac and cheese dishes, unlimited tastings from participating vendors, and a little friendly competition for the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice awards.
For anyone already planning a pizza night in November, Jet’s Season of Giving campaign offers an unusually easy way to support local hunger relief. No fundraising pitch, no additional charge. Just dinner and a photo.
