Many are looking for a few at-home activities to enjoy during this period of social distancing.  Uchi has a few delicious recipes for home cooking fans to share with their loved ones when you’re ready to get crafty in the kitchen.

Chef de Cuisine Chris Davies of Uchi Houston is sharing an at-home version of Uchi’s much heralded Brussels Sprouts recipe.  He has crafted this popular dish in a way that home cooks can replicate the restaurant’s more involved version.

 

Uchi’s Brussel sprouts:

Ingredients

  1. Create a 50/50 sauce by combining:

  • 1 part oyster sauce

  • 1 part Thai sweet chili sauce

  • Lemon juice to taste

Directions

  1. Cut brussel sprouts in half (or quarter if they are bigger (say the circumference of a half dollar)
  2. Fry in canola oil at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, until crispy (about 1:00)
  3. Drain well on an oven tray lined with paper towels. While still hot, season with salt to taste.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, coat sprouts with 50/50 sauce and serve!
