Torchy’s Tacos is turning 20, and the Austin born brand is celebrating with a new Taco Two-Step deal, an August taco special, and a few birthday surprises for its most loyal Taco Junkies.

Available now for a limited time, the Taco Two-Step includes two tacos, chips and salsa, and a fountain drink starting at $9.95. Guests can choose from select Torchy’s favorites including the Trailer Park, Green Chile Pork, Chicken Fajita, and Avocado taco.

It is a pretty straightforward thank you to longtime fans and a smart value play from a brand known for tacos that have never exactly believed in portion control.

“Torchy’s has never done anything small,” said Paul Macaluso, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos. “We’re known for our big personality, big tacos and big flavor. And to us, value never means cutting corners.”

The birthday rollout continues August 1 with the Muay Thai, Torchy’s new Taco of the Month. The limited taco features crispy fried shrimp tossed in panang curry sauce, cabbage slaw, fajita peppers, chile lime cucumber, peanuts, green onion, Thai basil, and lime.

Torchy’s is also releasing a custom Torchy’s Monopoly game featuring brand inspired properties, menu favorites, and plenty of “Damn Good” details. The limited edition game will be gifted to select Torchy’s Rewards members and available for fans to purchase while supplies last.

Torchy’s opened its first Austin food trailer in 2006 with a red Vespa and a menu built around big, creative tacos. Twenty years later, the company has grown to more than 115 restaurants across the country while still keeping its Austin origin story at the center of the brand.

For Austin, Torchy’s hitting 20 years is a real milestone. Restaurants come and go fast here, but this one managed to turn a local trailer into a national taco brand without losing the devilish attitude that made people line up in the first place.

The Taco Two-Step is available now for a limited time at participating Torchy’s locations.
