Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is rolling the clock back to 1979 with a deal that sounds like somebody forgot to update the menu prices.
Perry’s Flashback Friday Returns October 2
On Friday, October 2, Perry’s Austin locations will offer 200 guests the choice of its Famous Pork Chop Friday Lunch or Caramelized Prime Rib Steak Sandwich for just 79 cents.
The price is a nod to 1979, when Perry’s began as a small family-owned butcher shop in Houston. This year’s Flashback Friday promotion doubles down with two lunch options and 100 available orders of each.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and the first 200 dine-in guests will receive a card redeemable for one of the two meals.
The Famous Pork Chop Friday Lunch includes Perry’s lunch-cut pork chop with whipped potatoes, homemade applesauce and freshly baked bread. The newer Caramelized Prime Rib Steak Sandwich features beef slow-cooked over pecan wood with caramelized onions and house-made horseradish on a hoagie roll, served with French fries.
There are a few rules worth knowing before you start digging through the couch cushions for 79 cents.
Guests must be 21 or older, and the promotion is dine-in only. Reservations will not be accepted, spots in line cannot be held for anyone who isn’t present, and the promotional card must be redeemed before noon on October 2. The meals are available first-come, first-served while supplies last.
Both Austin Perry’s locations are participating: Downtown at 114 W. 7th St. and Domain NORTHSIDE at 11801 Domain Blvd.
Perry’s regular Friday lunch service runs from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but anyone chasing the 79-cent version would be wise to arrive considerably earlier.
