Bastrop is about to get a major grocery upgrade. Sprouts Farmers Market has confirmed it will open a brand new store in Bastrop on Friday, March 6, adding another Central Texas location focused on fresh food, wellness, and affordable everyday staples.
The new store is located at 655 Highway 71, Suite 101, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for 6:45 a.m. and doors officially opening at 7 a.m. For Bastrop residents, this marks the arrival of a grocery option that sits comfortably between specialty health stores and traditional supermarkets, with an emphasis on quality without the sticker shock.
Sprouts has built its reputation around produce first shopping, and that approach carries into the Bastrop location. Shoppers can expect a produce department anchored by seasonal fruits and vegetables sourced through partnerships with local and regional farms. Protein options follow the same philosophy, with No Antibiotics Ever chicken, 100 percent grass fed beef, sustainably sourced seafood, and a wide range of vegetarian and vegan choices.
For anyone who shops on a lunch break or needs a quick dinner solution, the store leans heavily into ready to eat convenience. Sprouts will offer its popular five dollar Sushi Wednesdays, build your own and grab and go deli sandwiches starting at $4.99, and freshly made Wellness Bowls packed with protein and vegetables starting at $8.99. Prepared meals and heat and eat options are also available throughout the store.
