Whisler’s is celebrating their Five Year Anniversary with drink specials, food from Tamale House and live music from Juan Diaz Mariachi and Ginny Marie’s Melange on Sunday, September 30.  Doors will open at 2 pm with music and food to follow at 3 pm.

 

Whisler’s is serving up cocktails from the mezcalería as well as their “Night at the Drive-In” late summer menu featuring drinks like the “Jungle Token,” a gin, basil tonic, pineapple and lime cocktail inspired by Jumanji; the “Open Water” with rum, blue curacao and lime cucumber mint cordial inspired by Jaws and “Slow Dance” made with vodka, watermelon, lemon and yellow chartreuse perfume inspired by Pretty in Pink. Also, for a limited time during the party, five select cocktails will be available at a very special anniversary price.

The Oaxacan-style mezcalería opens at 4 pm and will be serving up punch, Mezcal Old Fashioneds and Ilegal Mezcal in traditional copitas.  The bar will be premiering their new set of four collectable postcards as well as receiving their very own beer can design from Austin Beer Works and a special anniversary keg from Oasis Beer.
