The Salty Celebrates 5 Years in Austin With $5 Donuts

The Salty is celebrating five years in Austin this October with a $5 coffee and donut special, limited-edition Halloween treats, and a fundraiser supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Miami-born donut shop, known for its 24-hour brioche dough and creative flavors, is giving Austinites several sweet reasons to stop by.

On Tuesday, October 13, The Salty’s South Congress location will offer a glazed donut and coffee for $5 from opening until 5 p.m. to celebrate its fifth anniversary.

The festivities continue on Halloween, October 31, with the one-day-only Cookies & Scream donut. The seasonal creation combines black cocoa and orange vanilla brioche, marshmallow glaze, and crushed sandwich cookies. It’ll be available at all locations.

The Salty is also partnering with The Breasties, a nonprofit supporting people affected by breast cancer. From October 9–18, $2 from every Strawberry & White Chocolate Gem Donut sold will benefit the organization.

On Saturday, October 17, the South Congress shop will host a special Be a Gem donut-decorating experience. The $15 ticket includes a donut, edible decorations, a beverage, and decorative stickers, with $5 benefiting The Breasties.

The 45-minute sessions begin at 9:30 a.m., with the final group starting at 11:30 a.m.
