Recognized as one of the nation’s best donut shops, Miami based, The Salty Donut, is set to expand to its fifth brick and mortar store in Austin in the spring of 2021, on South Congress Ave! The new location promises to offer the same signature, decadent treats that have garnered the cult-like following that started in Miami and Dallas, as well as a few new signature donuts.
Miami’s first and favorite artisanal donut shop will bring its craft-style donuts, innovative coffee program, and quirky sense of community that has made it a huge success to Austin’s diverse and exciting foodie scene.
Since its pop-up opening in 2015, where donuts were sold out of a vintage 1950s Aljoa camper in a local parking lot, The Salty Donut has grown to be recognized locally and nationally, being named one of Thrillist’s “31 best donut shops in America.” While currently celebrating its 5-year anniversary, The Salty Donut is offering five specialty donuts in its Miami and Dallas shops, each with a nod to one of its locations. A celebratory Margarita donut represents the upcoming Austin location, which will be announced to the public on Monday, December 7, 2020.
