The 2022 Austin Mac & Cheese Festival Returns with Grilled Cheese

The Austin based National Mac & Cheese Festival Tour and Austin Food Magazine is excited to announce the sixth annual Austin Mac & Cheese Fest: MAC VS GRILLED, celebrating all things delightfully mac-N-cheesy. This year some of Austin’s most talented chefs will create their unique and delicious mac & grilled cheese sandwich offerings, on November 13th at Lantana Place shopping center on Southwest Parkway in Austin.

The Austin Mac & Cheese Festival celebrates Austin’s eateries and chefs with a day full of the most creative mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese tastings from more than 18 local vendors and several beverage sponsors.

This year’s festival will allow chefs to compete for two championships belts for the best tasting, including Best Mac & Cheese, and Best Grilled Cheese, which will be voted on by attendees and a panel of celebrity judges. This year’s judges panel includes Daniel Ramirez of Texas Lifestyle Magazine; Allison Miller of KEYE TV News; ATX Fest Co-founder Caitlin McFarland, Big Thirst PR founder Matt McGinnis; James Beard recognized and celebrity master chef Rick Moonen; along with a few other local personalities.

This year’s food vendor line-up includes KG BBQ, Swift’s Attic, TLC Austin, Austin Rotisserie, Out of Nowhere Food Truck, GK-Cookin, Omega Catering, AC Hotel Austin Hill Country, COVER 3, Vamonos Tex-Mex, CM Smokehouse, The Original Black’s Barbecue, B-Lux Grill & Bar Kalahari Resort, The Bearded Baking Co, La Santa Barbacha, Forking Vegan, Leave it to Kievit, Cranky Granny’s Sweet Rolls

Offered beverages include cocktails and beer from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Dulce Vida Tequila, Casa Azul Spirits, Infamous Brewing Company, BRYT Wines, and Black Rock Coffee Bar.
