Led by husband and wife co-owners Roxie and Hristos Nikolakos, both hailing from Greece, Yama’s takes pride in presenting a menu that showcases the finest locally sourced and imported ingredients from Greece. With a culinary journey across Greece’s diverse regions, their menu features both traditional favorites and contemporary creations, highlighting the unique ingredients and techniques that make Greek cuisine extraordinary.
Under the expert guidance of Chef Dimitrios Kelesoglou, a third-generation chef trained in traditional Greek cooking, Yama’s delights patrons with an array of mouthwatering dishes. Some of their signature offerings include Pan-Seared Cod Fish served with Steamed Horta, Lemon Sauce, and Egg White; Grilled Octopus, Served in Salad with Beluga Lentils, Dill, Scallion, and Grape Tomatoes; and Fried Feta with Mixed Sesame, Honey, and Crumbled Roasted Walnuts.
Stepping into Yama’s Greek Restaurant is like being transported to the Aegean Blue. The interiors, meticulously designed by Roxie and Hristos Nikolakos, feature whitewashed walls, rustic wooden furniture, and colorful accents reminiscent of iconic Greek island architecture. The captivating murals throughout the space, created by Cabo-based artist Aurora Covarrubias, add a vibrant touch that enhances the overall dining environment.
At Yama’s, the passion for hospitality and authentic cuisine runs deep. Roxie and Hristos Nikolakos, who relocated their family from Rhodes, Greece, have always dreamt of sharing their Greek culture and creating a restaurant that feels like home. Their vision is to provide a warm and inviting space where everyone feels like family and can forge lasting connections over the cuisine that is so close to their hearts and heritage.
The official public opening is scheduled for June 23. Initially operating from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, seven days a week, Yama’s plans to introduce brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays in the near future. Additionally, a lunch service from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM will be offered.
