The Salt Lick Family is introducing a new dining spot, Roxie’s, set to open this spring at 308 Main St., Buda Mill and Grain. The restaurant will feature a fresh menu inspired by family recipes from Scott Roberts’ grandmother, Roxanna, continuing the tradition of hospitality and community.
Scott Roberts, owner of the iconic Salt Lick BBQ, created Roxie’s as a tribute to his grandmother, whose cooking was the heart of family gatherings. “Buda values tradition and community, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing to the table at Roxie’s,” says Roberts.
What’s on the Menu?
Roxie’s will serve a variety of dishes, including:
- Appetizers: Pimento cheese crocks, deviled eggs with fried chicken bites.
- Entrees: Crispy fried chicken, chicken-fried steak, char-grilled steak.
- Desserts: Pies based on Roxanna’s original recipes.
- Cocktails: Margaritas and frozen peach Bellinis.
Roberts adds with humor, “She didn’t drink, but if she did, this is exactly where she’d go.”

Roxie’s, a dream a decade in the making, will be open daily for lunch and dinner, offering a space for families and friends to connect. Follow @roxiesbuda on Instagram for updates.
