FBR Management has announced the reopening of Austin’s Dive Bar on Guadalupe and W. 17th St. and will continue to be a welcoming and unpretentious venue to enjoy an after-work beer or cocktail.

Like the majority of bars in Austin, Dive Bar and Lounge was required to halt operations last March due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Located in North downtown Austin at 1703 Guadalupe St., the establishment closed for good and FBR Management took over the lease of the bar in the Fall of 2020.  FBR operates some of Austin’s most beloved bars, including three locations of sports bar favorite Lavaca Street Bar; the iconic Christmas bar Lala’s Little Nugget; Mean Eyed Cat; Star Bar and others.

Ample seating is available in an inviting atmosphere, coupled with a covered beer garden out back.  FBR wants to preserve the overall vibe of Dive Bar while adding in their own flare to the menu.  Standard Covid-19 precautions will be followed. Masks will be required as patrons enter and staff will be masked, as well. All staff will be sanitizing regularly, washing hands and following recommended protocols. In addition, bathrooms will be one in one out with hourly tracked cleaning logs.

Food items like Cheese and Charcuterie as well as House roasted “Hot Nuts” will be offered on the menu.

  • Another One Bites The Dust – Tequila, Mezcal, Green Chartreuse, Pineapple, Lime, Agave, Jalapeño, Smoked Paprika Salt

  • Brooklyn Maid – Rye, Lime, Cucumber, Mint, Simple, Angostura, Soda

  • Death In High Heels – Old Tom Gin, Blood OJ, Lime, Rosemary Simple, Prosecco

  • Giant Stride – Añejo, Cafecito, Fernet, Orange Bitters, Cream

  • Funk No. 49 – White Rum, Velvet Falernum, Lime, Orgeat

  • Dirty Work – Rye, Orange, Lemon, Honey, Sage, Laphroaig

  • Pressure Drop – Vodka, Cassis, Lemon, Ginger, Soda

The bar is located at 1703 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78701 just north of the Austin Capital in the North Side area.  Doors open March, 15th 2021.
