Hot Luck has announced that Chef Andy Ricker of Pok Pok in Portland, Oregon, and Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue are joining forces for a “Pok Pok-Up.” Pok Pok will take over Franklin Barbecue for a pop-up event on Sunday, May 26 at Franklin Barbecue from 5 – 9 p.m.

In celebration of Ricker’s new book, Pok Pok Noodles: Recipes from Thailand and Beyond in Austin, Hot Luck Fest guests will enjoy a special collaborative menu made by Ricker and Franklin, where all guests, including those with tickets, will wait in the famed Franklin line for the dinner experience. Don’t worry, a three hour wait is not expected!

Tickets to the Pok Pok-Up are available to the public for $85, which includes guaranteed entry, a plate of food and a signed copy of Andy Ricker’s new book. Beverages are sold separately. The Pok Pok-Up is also available to Hot Luck Whole Enchilada pass holders with a plate of food included (entry on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to capacity). Tickets can be purchased at hotluckfest.com and are on sale today, Thursday, May 2, at 10 a.m. A limited number of walk-ins will also be available day of, subject to capacity.

The Pok Pok-Up party will continue at Nickel City featuring a pop-up menu from Westward Whiskey, featuring their award-winning American Single Malt distilled in Portland.
