The Field Guide Festival returns this spring, April 25-27, 2025, to celebrate Central Texas’ food system and benefit the Central Texas Food Bank. With a packed schedule, this year’s events include the Land to Larder Dinner, the Field Guide Symposium, and the main festival at Fiesta Gardens.
Friday’s Land to Larder Dinner at Boggy Creek Farm (6-9 p.m.) features a four-course meal crafted by chefs and farmers like Ana Torrealba de la Vega (El Naranjo) and Tracy & Jack Geyer (Boggy Creek Farm).
On Saturday, the Field Guide Symposium (1-4 p.m.) debuts at Fiesta Gardens, spotlighting Austin’s leaders in food, beverage, and agriculture through meaningful discussions on the cost of food, farming’s community impact, and sustainable practices.
The weekend concludes with Sunday’s Field Guide Festival (12-5 p.m.) at Fiesta Gardens, showcasing over 55 chefs and farmers. Highlights include live fire cooking, a pizza happy hour, a taco omakase experience, a pop-up farmers market, kid-friendly activities, live music, and more. Featured pairings include Amanda Turner (Olamaie) with Samuel & Carolynn Moffett (Shirttail Creek Farm) and Edgar Rico (Nixta Taqueria) with Prisilla Benitez & Hayley Wood (Hot Spell Farm).
Celebrating Central Texas’ Culinary Scene
Since 2021, Field Guide Festival has paid over $102,676 to local chefs and farmers. “Field Guide 2025 isn’t just about growth; it’s about recognition,” said co-founder Lindsey Sokol. Chef Fiore Tedesco of L’Oca d’Oro added, “Austin is blessed with a tight-knit community of farmers and chefs who inspire each other.”
