This year’s festival promises to be even bigger and cheesier, featuring the culinary prowess of some of Austin’s most talented chefs. Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 19th, as the Lantana Place shopping center at 7415 Southwest Pkwy in Austin transforms into a haven for mac and grilled cheese lovers.
The Austin Mac & Cheese Festival is a delectable showcase of Austin’s exciting culinary scene. Join us for a day filled with imaginative and mouthwatering mac-n-cheese, grilled cheese, and sweet treats from over 20 local chefs, food trucks, and eateries complemented by refreshing beverages from several local brands, including STILL Austin Whiskey Co., Dulce Vida Spirits, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
The Austin Mac & Cheese Festival from Austin Food Magazine was first held in 2016. The 2022 festival, relocated to Lantana Place to accommodate growing demand, saw 1,300 guests sampling bites from 16 participating eateries, and introduced the grilled cheese category.
This year’s festival will continue the fun of friendly competition by offering three awards for the best-tasting offerings as voted on by attendees, including Best Mac & Cheese, Best Grilled Cheese, and a Judge’s Choice award for best overall. This year’s judges panel includes esteemed writer Chet “The Day Tripper”, The Food Network’s Ali Khan, Allison Miller of CBS Austin News, Hardcore Carnivore Founder Jess Pryles, previous festival winner chef Bryan Beneke, and others.
TICKETS
General Admission tickets start at $50 granting unlimited food tastings, along with refreshing beverages to wash it all down.
VIP tickets are $95, offering early access starting at 11 a.m., with additional food tastings, beverages, and sweet treats, in the exclusive tasting lounge presented by Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
