Paul Oveisi and Patrick Dean founded Cosmic in 2017 with a vision that transcended the typical bar or cafe experience. Encouraged by this support, Oveisi and Dean, along with partners Jason Stevens and John Butts, have now ventured into one of Austin’s busiest bar districts.
Cosmic Saltillo is not just another trendy spot; it’s a labor of love that spans four years. The team behind it has worked tirelessly to preserve the historic integrity of the location, particularly the Historic Texaco Depot buildings. These buildings, dating back to the early 1900s, once stored and distributed petroleum products. Today, they stand as a testament to Austin’s industrial past, adorned with graffiti that bears witness to the passage of time. The highlight feature is the 30-foot tower that provides access to the rooftop deck, beautifully illuminated at night.
