In advance of University of Texas’ tailgate season, Weber is changing the game with a new line of customize collegiate grills for six NCAA Division I universities including Texas. Weber-Stephen Products LLC, the world’s leading manufacturer of outdoor gas and charcoal grills, is showing school spirit this football season.

To enhance the experience of the 96 percent of grill owners who grill on game day*, Weber worked with IMG College to develop a licensing and marketing program for this custom grill series.

The Weber® Q® University grill series features a custom lid reflecting each university’s signature colors and logos.  The custom Weber® Q® 1200™ grills will be available on www.weber.com/QU and in select bookstores beginning in the summer of 2016 for$299.

To introduce the new Weber® Q® University grill series, Weber and IMG College will partner in kicking off the season with a series of tailgate activations introducing the new grills.  The University of Texas grill will debut on Sunday, September 4 when the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish faces off against the Longhorns in Austin.

For easy transport, the cart also folds down with the grill attached and can simply be wheeled like a suitcase.

Once tailgating season ends, grillers will be able to keep their grill in perfect condition all year long with the new Weber Q 100/1000 series gas grill cover.  At only $17.99 the fitted, heavy-duty grill cover has built-in elastic side bands and a front draw cord that keeps the grill protected in any environment.
