What you need is a plan of action. Here is a suggested itinerary for a three-day trip to Texas that will help you make the most of your time.
Start your trip in Houston, the largest city in Texas. This vibrant metropolis is brimming with energy and has something for everyone. Visit the Space Center Houston, take a tour of the Johnson Space Center, or explore one of the many museums, such as the Museum of Fine Arts or the Houston Museum of Natural Science. If you’re looking for something more outdoorsy, take a walk or bike ride through one of the city’s many green spaces, such as Discovery Green or Buffalo Bayou Park.
For meals, try some of the city’s renowned for some of the most diverse cuisine in the entire state. There are many excellent restaurants to choose from, so you’re sure to find something to your liking. In the evening, catch a show at the Houston Grand Opera or see a live concert at one of the city’s many music venues. You can also take in a game at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros.
While moving around, renting a car is an excellent way to make the most of your time in Houston. This will allow you to explore the city at your own pace and visit any attractions that interest you. Generally, it is best to avoid driving in downtown Houston due to traffic congestion; also, parking can be difficult and expensive. Instead, opt for a hotel that offers free parking or is located near public transportation.
Head to Austin, the state capital and home to a thriving music scene. Spend the day exploring the city’s many museums, such as the Blanton Museum of Art, the Texas State History Museum, and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library. If you’re a fan of live music, be sure to catch a show at one of Austin’s famous music venues, such as ACL Live at The Moody Theater or Stubb’s BBQ. The city also offers a variety of excellent restaurants, so be sure to enjoy a meal at one of them. If you’re looking for something unique, try the famous Austin BBQ. When finding the best hotel, remember that many of the city’s attractions are downtown, so it might be best to stay in that area. Alternatively, you can stay near public transportation to make getting around easier.
The best way to research top resorts is to go online. Target the sites with comprehensive lists of resorts rated according to different categories like rates, facilities, and location. As you search for awesome hotels in Austin, focus more on the ones with high ratings and positive reviews from previous clients. Ascertain also that the resort is located in a convenient place. It should not be too far from the city’s main attractions. If you have any questions, you should be able to reach out to customer service and get clarification before booking.
End your trip in San Antonio, home of the world-famous Alamo. Spend the day exploring this historic site and the nearby River Walk and Mission San Jose. This scenic area is perfect for a stroll or a romantic dinner cruise. You can also visit the San Antonio Zoo or ride on one of the city’s famous river boats.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, consider taking a day trip to one of the many charming small towns in the Texas Hill Country. You can go hiking, horseback riding, or enjoy local wine and cuisine there. Be sure to pack or wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking. Also, don’t forget to try some of the state’s famous Tex-Mex food before you leave. For instance, Whataburger is a Texas-based fast food chain beloved by locals and visitors.
When choosing the best place to stay in San Antonio, you have many options. If you want to be in the heart of the action, downtown is the place to be. However, plenty of hotels and resorts are located outside the city center if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. The bottom line is finding a place to stay that meets your needs and budget. Be sure to find a hotel that offers free parking or is located near public transportation.
Developing a budget before choosing a place to stay on your trip is always good. Remember that hotels in downtown San Antonio will typically be more expensive than those in other parts of the city. But if you’re willing to spend a bit more, you’ll be rewarded with convenient access to all the best the city offers.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last. Samir Mowad, SVP and GM of Caesars New Orleans, highlighted the significance of the transformation, stating, “This year marks 25 years since we opened in New Orleans, and the completion of this project is the perfect way to usher in a new era with Caesars. Synonymous with the Caesars name, our new resort is pure elegance, and we’re excited to introduce a luxury brand like this to New Orleans. We are extremely grateful for the support of the community, our team members, and our guests as we come to the finish line of this tremendous transformation.” The hotel itself is impressive,…
