San Francisco’s infamous Japanese ramen restaurant, will open its first restaurant in Austin on Wednesday, October 12th. Serving Hakata-style Tonkotsu ramen, Marufuku Ramen will bring a distinctive dining experience to the Mueller District.
The Austin location will feature a large indoor dining room, patio with bar seating. They’ll also serve specialty bowls, like the fan favorite Hakata-style Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Paitan. Both Tonkotsu and Paitan are rich soups that appear cloudy-white from the long cooking process of pork or chicken bones.
Hakata-style ramen incorporates thin noodles and pork broth, while Paitan is served with chicken broth. The menu, although simple and designed for efficient service, features an assortment of dishes that are robust in flavor. In addition to vegetable ramen that caters to vegetarian diners, guests are offered a selection of mini-sized rice bowls and Izakaya-style appetizers.
Marufuku Ramen Austin is located at 1900 Aldrich St. Suite 180, and will open daily for dine-in and takeout Monday-Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For additional information about Marufuku Ramen, please visit https://www.marufukuramen.com/austin or call (512) 503-5003
