SXSW Film Review | Sausage Party
4.8Funny as hell!

Written by the team that brought you Superbad and Pineapple Express, Sausage Party is a hilarious look into the secret world of our food as it comes alive in ways you could never possibly imagine.  Think of it as Toy Story meets the supermarket only way more perverted and not made for children. Seth Rogen leads an A-list cast of voice actors who all play the role of the groceries we eat, who also don’t know what happens once they’re taken home from the supermarket.

The film was presented without all of the full edits completed, but it was an easy winner with the audience. On the surface, Sausage Party gives the vibe of a feature film that stars a few of Hollywood’s best actors and comedians for another random animated film. But this outrageously raunchy, CG ‘animated film will actually have every viewer saying “holy s**t!”, while tears of laughter fall uncontrollably down their faces.

Dreamed-up from twisted minds of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, this R-rated animated comedy is like a perverted Pixar film with weed and twisted humor. While the film wasn’t presented in it’s full final edited cut, the story and humor is the to your laughter heart attack you’ll most likely encounter during the film.
