Try a savory and refreshing cocktail of the summer as a nice alternative for those who don’t have a sweet tooth or just want to change up their usual go-to summer drinks.  Juniper is serving the Time Season with aquavit, manzanilla, and house-made garden syrup and ginger with a chilled cube of cucumber on top.

The Time Season

By Juniper bar manager, Chris McClish (Austin, TX)

1.5 Linie aquavit, 1oz Lustau Manzanilla sherry,

.75oz Lemon juice, .5oz Ginger syrup, .5oz Garden Syrup*,

2 dashes Hella Citrus Bitters,

Shake ingredients quickly, then train on ice. Top with a Fever Tree Club Soda and garnish with a cucumber block

*Garden Syrup: Take celery leaves and dill and dip them in boiling water for 10-15 seconds then shock them in ice water. Create a simple syrup by boiling water and sugar (1:1 ratio) until sugar is completely dissolved. Combine the herbs and steep. Blend everything together then strain through a cheesecloth.
