After hosting its sellout event in March, Austin’s popular Mac & Cheese Festival continues its “take & bake” virtual pop-up series with an inspired theme of cheesy goodness.
On May 2nd, the festival will host its second event in their pop-up series, with Austin Mac & Cheese Festival’s “Brunch de Mayo” pop-up. This event will highlight the delicious flavors of seasonal brunch-inspired mac n’ cheese offerings from some of Austin’s most notable chefs, restaurants, and food trucks.
Like the previous pop-up, the event follow safety precautions to protect ticket holders from COVID-19. Each ticket offers contactless pick-up from their vehicles as well as an easy-to-access outdoor table, for walk-up and takeout. Using a simple set of instructions, guests will be able to enjoy a “take & bake” package loaded with mac n’ cheese samples to heat in a home oven. This year’s festival features a talented line-up of some of Austin’s finest restaurants and chefs, including Reunion 19, Brooklyn Breakfast Shop, and Rosedale Kitchen just to new a few.
Also participating and returning to the competition is the festival’s “Taste of Mardi Gras” pop-up champion, Swift’s Attic Executive Chef Donnie Forehand, who offered a Fat Tuesday mac n cheese dish. With this event’s talented line-up and a brunch theme, tastings are looking to be more flavorful than ever.
GENERAL ($30): Receives a “Take & Bake Kit” with 5 oz. individual mac-n-cheese offerings from each participating chef and restaurant.
*VIP ($50): Receives a “Take & Bake Kit” with 5 oz. mac-n-cheese personal servings from each participant and special dessert from Teal House Bakery! Also includes 48 oz cold brew concentrate from Chameleon, canned beverages from Green Belt Kombucha, and additional swag and from the festival.
