With the summer heat, many restaurants are turning to frozen sweet treats to help their customers cool down and historic Sixth Street deli Walton’s Fancy and Staple is no different.  Until mid Spetember, Walton’s is bringing back its fan favorite Macwich, as well as other sweet treats to enjoy.

A Macwich is a twist on an ice cream sandwich with home made ice cream sandwiched in between macarons. These treats come in flavors such as Peanut Butter Cookie/Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwich, a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie/Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich and the playful Panda Big Mac/Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwich.  Walton’s is also offering gourmet cookie and cake ice cream sandwiches and scoops of the ice cream used to make them.

Other sweet treats from the deli include their Freezer Pops which come in non-alcoholic flavors such as Prickly Pear and Cold Brew Coffee as well as alcohol-spiked flavors like Moscow Mule and Sangria.  Patrons will also find liquid rejuvenation with the Fancypants Cocktail, made from locally-sourced Cuvee cold-brew coffee and Hops and Grain Porter Culture beer, Buillet bourbon.

Walton’s is located at 609 W 6th St. and is open 7a.m. to 7p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 8a.m. to 4p.m. on Sundays.
