Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill

303 Red River Street Austin, TX 78701 | Sometimes it is still mind-boggling that chicken and waffles is actually a popular menu item. Who would’ve thought to ever put these two delectable foods together and drizzle them with syrup? Moonshine is serving up their delicious take on chicken and waffles accompanied with syrup, whipped butter, and chipotle cream gravy. You’ll feel like you’ve entered a time machine and have gone back to the good ol’ days in grandma’s kitchen. FYI: Moonshine is serving an all-you-can-eat Easter brunch this Sunday!

Fresh pecans, blueberries, banana, blackberry jam, powdered sugar, and a drizzle of warm maple syrup will have you praising the waffle angels. 1886 Cafe and Bakery is located inside the Driskill Hotel.

Caroline + Upstairs

621 Congress Ave Suite 101 | Caroline’s is an all-day local spot serving homemade breakfast, lunch, dinner and to-go.  I’m not saying the chicken and waffles is the best dish on the brunch menu, but it’s definitely my favorite.  The waffles are perfectly crispy all the way through and the fried chicken is juicy and full of flavor.  Add a side of fruit and top it with every last bit of the maple syrup and honey butter.
