Walton’s Fancy And Staple reveals new Italian Sandwich

Austin’s favorite historic deli, Walton’s Fancy and Staple is highlighting the bold flavors of the Mediterranean with the addition of the new Cicero, an Italian-inspired sandwich, made-from-scratch joining the array of artisan sandwiches at Walton’s Fancy and Staple, on 6th street. The Cicero is available now until the end of the month.

The Cicero lives up to its meaty Italian moniker, and includes piles of prosciutto de Parma, hot capicollo (a traditional Italian cold cut) and provolone cheese sandwiched between house-made mushroom pate, sweet peppers and onions, and fresh arugula, all drizzled with an olive vinaigrette and served on a house-made ciabatta roll. Add a bag of Dirty brand potato chips to any sandwich for that added crunch.

The Staple Burger has also quickly become a customer favorite – made by hand with fresh, seasonal ingredients, such as house-ground Strube Ranch Wagyu beef, house made aioli’s, fresh garden vegetables and house-made buns, all served with a pile of crispy, skinny fries.  The Veggie Burger ($11) is also sure to become a veggie lover’s favorite, featuring quinoa chickpea based patty, goat cheese spread, sprouts, tomatoes and onions and served on a house-made bun.

Walton’s Fancy and Staple is located at 609 W. Sixth St. in downtown Austin.
