Velvet Taco, the funky, fast-casual taco restaurant located on Rock Rose Ave., is rolling out a brand new brunch menu with four new items that will be available all day, every day along with restaurant’s extensive menu of chicken, fish, beef, pork and vegetarian taco options.
Brunch diners can begin their feast with the Chicken & Waffle, which includes crisp chicken tenders, peppercorn gravy, green apple slaw, maple syrup, peppered bacon, red chili aioli and chives all atop a mind-blowing waffle tortilla ($4.75). The Bacon & Eggs brings a playful twist to this breakfast and brunch staple by adding crisp tater tots, chili butter, smoked cheddar, charred poblano salsa and micro greens to a corn tortilla ($3.75).
Fans will enjoy the Monte Cristo, with sweet and flavors of strawberry jam, honey ham, gruyere, strawberry jalapeño salsa, powdered sugar and micro mint served on a signature French Toast flour tortilla ($4.25). There’s also the Steak & Eggs, which features crispy potatoes, Sambal hollandaise, arugula, tomato, pickled Fresno peppers, queso fresco and micro greens served in a flour tortilla ($5.25).
To round out a Sunday Funday (or any other day of the week), guests can pair brunch items with their “Kick-Ass Margarita,” made in-house with fresh fruit, or a delicious local craft beer.
