New Chef de Cuisine at Uchi, Joe Zoccoli, has created a late-night menu, exclusively available for patio dining starting at 9pm on Friday, April 27th. Guests will be able to choose from two savory dishes, as Satsuma Imo Onigiri with fried sweet potato with nori aioli, and Wagyu Yaki Onigiri, a grilled flank and kimchi emulsion. The Yuri Masamune honjozo is a new sake selection specifically paired with the late-night menu and for dessert, chef Zoccoli offers up his version of a Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich,
Chef Zoccoli discovered his love for cooking while spending time in the kitchen with his mother as a child. Zoccoli attended the Escoffier School and began his professional career immediately after graduation at Uchi in Austin in 2011. He rotated through many stations in the kitchen and was quickly promoted to sous chef. After traveling through the various branches of the Hai Hospitality family, including Uchi Houston, Dallas, Uchiko and Top Knot, he returned to his roots, accepting the role of Chef de Cuisine at the original Uchi in January 2018.
