Sushi | Bar Hospitality Unveils Renovations of Austin Location

Sushi | Bar Hospitality, the revered sushi establishment known for its intimate omakase experience, has recently completed renovations to expand their highly sought-after Austin location. The restaurant, which previously operated out of the private dining room of its 2600 E. Cesar Chavez St. location, now occupies the entire building, allowing for additional seating and an exclusive 10-seat omakase room to complement the existing room.

The expansion comes in response to the growing popularity of the omakase-style concept and increasing demand from guests who have made Sushi | Bar Austin their go-to destination for exceptional Japanese cuisine. The renovations include a refurbished waiting area, remodeled restrooms, and a new bar where guests can savor their complimentary welcome cocktail.

Ryan Stock, Co-Founder of Adept Hospitality and partner of Sushi | Bar Hospitality, expressed the restaurant’s desire to keep guests’ needs a top priority. “The expansion was carefully planned to maintain the intimacy that Sushi | Bar is celebrated for, while still offering an exclusive experience to our discerning guests,” he said.

Since its founding in 2019, Sushi | Bar Hospitality has quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional omakase experience, opening its doors in Los Angeles and Montecito, California before expanding into Austin in 2020. In December 2021, a decision was made to part ways with the restaurant’s then-chef, a minority shareholder. Chef Ambrely Ouimette was later promoted to Executive Chef and has since contributed to expanding the brand with the opening of a Miami Beach location and upcoming launches in Chicago and Dallas.

Sushi | Bar Austin’s omakase experience is priced at $159 per person, with an option to upgrade to include sake pairings. The restaurant offers three seatings per night at 5:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:45 p.m. Reservations can be made through Tock or by calling (737) 931-7584.

With its expanded space and additional seating, Sushi | Bar Austin continues to uphold its reputation as a highly-regarded establishment, offering an exceptional culinary journey for its guests. Its commitment to providing an exclusive and unforgettable omakase experience has solidified its position as a premier destination for Japanese cuisine in Austin.
