Sazan Ramen is one of Austin’s newest ramen restaurants, located on Airport Blvd.  The culinary team is helmed by a new executive chef Kris Hammond, a first-generation Korean-Japanese-Italian American, whose culinary background includes experience at Michelin-starred restaurant GreenRiver in Chicago, Sous Chef at Alma in Shanghai – a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, and Chef de Cuisine at The Regional in Fort Collins, CO.

Sazan serves a curated menu of creamy Paitan ramen, with limited time, seasonal ramen dishes included the menu.  A current special includes Chicken Chintan Shoyu ramen; boasting a clear-broth that is delicate, complex, and bright, served with chicken chashu, menma, scallions, sliced radishes, lemon and house-made yuzu-kosho.  Sazan also serves Japanese homestyle dishes like dumplings, chicken wings, and takoyaki, as well as craft cocktails and a wide variety of Japanese whisky. View their full menu here.

Sazan, opened in June of 2020, strives to create a thoughtful menu of meticulously crafted ramen. The interior design at Sazan is as intentional as the ramen. Sazan worked with local designer Matthew Tsang to create a clean, modern, peaceful atmosphere.

Sazan Ramen is located at 6929 Airport Blvd #146, in Austin.  Open for dine-in, take out, and delivery via DoorDash.
