Patika Coffee Opens on South Lamar!

One of Austin’s favorite coffee trucks has opened its first brick and mortar location on South Lamar last Friday, September 26th. Patika Coffee, originally opened in 2010, has served many-a-cup to downtown Austinites. What sets Patika apart is the selection process that they undertake to bring on a roaster’s beans. Owners Andy Wigginton and Nick Krupa site a California coffee shop as their inspiration for creating their coffee trailer, which has had locations on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th streets. They make it their goal to carry the highest quality product, which includes Austin’s Cuvee Coffee among others. Along with their espressos, french pressed, and cold-brewed iced coffee, they also offer non-coffee drinks such as hot and iced teas, Italian sodas, chai, and house-made hot chocolate.

The new location will feature the classic menu, as well as a strategic selection of wines and seasonal beers. They hope to widen the scope of their patrons and their palates. Along with the addition of alcoholic beverages, they will be including morning baked goods and evening bites. Items will include including mushroom, leek, and bleu cheese foldovers; chipotle, bacon, and corn muffins; blueberry basil muffins; lemon lavender cookies; browned butter, chocolate chunk cookies; and a mixed berry breakfast cake. During the evening, Patika will feature charcuterie and cheese plates served with Easy Tiger bread, classic bar snacks like nuts and popcorn, flatbreads, spreads, and desserts like Crème Brulee.
