Native Hostel a new boutique hostel located at 807 East 4th Street in downtown Austin, is set to open its doors on Wednesday, May 10. The experiential hostel promises a coalescence of music, arts and food with affordable, stylish lodging. Regular programming and custom events will be a part and parcel of the space as well.

The kitchen is serving up American diner classics concepted and executed by Virginia Pharr.  The menu features breads baked in house, delicious and unique pickled items, and brisket sourced from Pan, Pharr’s food truck in East Austin. Items like the Seitan Buffalo Burger, Grilled Pimento Cheese and Waffle Fry Nachos tie together historic diner foods, Pharr’s experiences in North Carolina, and her food education since in Memphis and Austin.

Formerly the manager at Star Bar, Nathan Vyberg will handle drink operations with hospitality consultant Rebecca Meeker, bringing years of industry experience to Native.

The Native’s striking design and interior is the result of a collaboration between Dickson (Icon Design) and Joel Mozersky who’s also responsible for designing Eberly, Uchi, Uchiko, No Va, Juliet, Lonesome Dove, Birds Barbershop and others.
