If you’re looking for a reason to celebrate the National Margarita Day, start with the best spots in Austin.  Here’s several spots in Austin to help you the official cocktail of Texas!

El Naranjo

For National Margarita Day, the interior Oaxacan restaurant (now located at 2717 South Lamar) is offering 25% off all margaritas. El Naranjo is open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; dinner service is 5 to 10 p.m.

 

 

Güero’s

The South Congress institution will be partnering up with Tequila 512 for the holiday, offering samples of the Vida Rita. Come on by the Oak Garden, enjoy live music and expect a fun raffle!

Celebrate National Margarita Day with a $68 dollar top-shelf margarita made with Clase Azul Tequila, Grand Marnier Cuvee 1880, lime and salt foam. Get it while supplies last!

 

 

Central Machine Works

Central Machine Works wants to make sure Austinites are celebrating! CMW has partnered with Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila for a day of frozen margarita specials, live music by Bidi Bidi Banda & Ex Romantika (4-8pm), tacos by Pueblo Viejo and a pop up market.

 

 

Abuelo’s

On 2/22 only, the popular El Jefe Margarita will be discount $2 off its regular price. Additionally, for each Cerveza Rita, El Jefe, Platinum Hand Shaken and Skinny Margarita sold, Abuelo’s will donate $2 to No Kid Hungry, a non-profit dedicated to providing nutritious meals to over 200,000 children in America.

 

 

Revelry On The Boulevard

The North Lamar neighborhood hang will be serving $5 House Margaritas. Additional specials include top shelf margaritas including a Hibiscus Margarita with Maestro Dobel Tequila Chef Dominque LaBeaud will be
featuring a selection of house made salsas.

 

 

Corner Bar

One of South Lamar’s favorite bars will be offering $6 House Regular and Strawberry Margs, $8 Espolon Margs and $10 Casamigos Margs.

 

 

Revelry Kitchen + Bar

The East 6th street bar will be partying with signature margaritas for $6 each, including flavors like peach and prickly pear, plus $2 off queso, as well as housemade tacos and salsas.

 

 

Anthem

Whether you like them frozen, on the rocks, with salt or without, it’s always a great time to enjoy a margarita.  The popular tequila cocktail has gained such recognition that it was granted its own national holiday, alas National Margarita Day on February 22nd.   Anthem serves a unique twist of their own.  Anthem’s cuisine combines Tex Mex classics with Asian influences, thus resulting in the EXSW Margarita.  The name comes as a play on SXSW, but with a far-East twist. The cocktail gets its Asian roots from a locally made sake from Texas Saké Co.  El Jimador Silver Tequila, yuzu, lemon and frozen blood orange round out the drink.

 

 

 

Torchy’s Tacos

If you’re looking for a sweet way to celebrate, Torchy’s Tacos is offering an amazing all-day deal: a special Scallywag Margarita paired with February’s Taco of the Month, the Scallywag, for just $10.

 

 

Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill

Z’Tejas is celebrating National Margarita Day in a BIG way. Guests can enjoy deals on drinks and food all day on Feb. 22 including the 6th Street Margarita (frozen or on the rocks) – $6, Chambord Margarita$7, and the Frusion Margarita$8.

 

 

Taco Cabana

It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, especially on National Margarita Day! On February 22, TC is offering $2 margaritas all day long. So, gather your crew and enjoy some refreshing strawberry and lime frozen margaritas at a great value.

The Peached Tortilla & Bar Peached

This iconic local iteration made with habanero infused tequila, Thai basil, Cointreau and lime juice is available at the original brick-and-mortar restaurant on Burnet and also as a draft cocktail at the Clarksville outpost, Bar Peached, for $9.

 

 

The Upside + Sixth and Waller

Take a sip of the tropics at East Austin Hotel – the place to be for a refreshing twist on your classic marg. The margarita at The Upside and Sixth and Waller, the Sunset City ($12) is a strawberry forward cocktail and a perfect mix of dry, vibrant and tequila-driven all at once.

Sour Duck Market

Sour Duck will be running a margarita flight special, expect 3-4 margaritas with different swirls in each! Sour Duck is open from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.

 

 

Hotel ZaZa Austin

Head up to Hotel ZaZa Austin’s seventh-floor sky bar and lounge for your National Margarita Day celebration complete with a perfect view of Downtown Austin and a perfectly crafted margarita that will make you think, “I’m possible!” (as Audrey Hepburn would say). The Audrey Hepburn ($14) is made with Patron Silver Tequila, Patron Citronge, Agave Nectar and lime.

 

 

Mean-Eyed Cat

One of Mean Eyed Cat’s signature drinks, the Mean Marg kicks up the heat with a spicy version of the classic. Made with Arette Blanco Tequila, RR Triple Sec, lime and maguey sap, the secret to the award-winning bar’s perfectly balanced version of the margarita lies within the addition of maguey sap syrup, which balances out the sweetness of the Triple Sec. The Margarita can be served with or without salt and is available for a steal of $7 during happy hour.

North Italia

It’s margarita time! Stop by any Fast Eddie’s Billiards & Sports Bar location this week to enjoy drink specials in honor of National Margarita Day.

 

 

Hopdoddy Burger Bar

This National Margarita Day weekend, bring a friend or two and sip on this steal of a special from Feb. 21 – 23. Buy one-liter bottled Doble Fina Margarita, made with silver tequila, triple sec, lime, agave and a black lava salt rim, for $25

The Water Trough at Lone Star Court

Lone Star Court’s on-site restaurant and bar, The Water Trough, will be pouring $5 margaritas all day long. The Water Trough is offering flavor add-ons from an original margarita with the option for mango, peach, strawberry or pineapple coconut. Feel like mixing it up? Add in an additional flavor mix-in for $1. They’ll also be offering a special on the spicy margarita ($6), Mexican martini ($7) and mezcal margarita ($8)

 

 

The Switch

Join The Switch for National Margarita Day and enjoy specials all day long on with their signature Margaritas.  They’ll be doing $5 on all flavors of our house Switch Frozen Margaritas all day.  $2 off “on the rocks” margaritas. Tis The Season for patios and margaritas ahead.
