LORO Smokehouse Expands To-Go Menu with DIY Cocktail Kits

LORO Asian Smokehouse & Bar has expanded their curbside to-go offerings which includes Rib Dinner for two for, $39.75 with an optional add-on of a mixed 6-pack of beer sourced from local breweries in Austin.

 

LORO is now offering their famous Frozen Gin & Tonic Boozy Slushees to their standard curbside to-go menu, for $8.

 

The NEW Peach Palmer

(makes 8 cocktails)

1 (375ml) bottle of Tito’s Handmade Vodka

1 bottle of LORO Peach Palmer Mix

8 lemon wheels, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Pour bottle of vodka into a pitcher
  2. Add bottle of each palmer mix
  3. Stir lightly and store in the fridge until use
  4. Pour 5 oz of cocktail into a tall glass over ice
  5. Garnish with lemon wheel

 

Ginger Old Fashioned

(makes 8 cocktails)

1 (375ml) bottle of Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon

1 bottle of LORO Ginger Old Fashioned Mix

8 orange half-wheels, for garnish

 

Instructions:

  1. Combine Bourbon and Ginger Old Fashioned Mix bottles together in a small pitcher
  2. Stir lightly and store in the fridge until use
  3. Pour (5oz) into a tall glass with ice
  4. Garnish with orange half-wheel

 

Rib Dinner for Two is available from 4pm – 8pm on Sundays & Mondays ONLY and includes 1 Rack (serves 2) of Smoked Baby Back Durac Pork Ribs, glazed with a savory-sweet sauce of pineapple juice, tamarind, chilies and acid, the ribs are grilled-to-order over post oak for additional smoke and char and finished with pickled cauliflower and green onions for contrast, acid and crunch.

 

The Dinner for Two Pack Includes:

  • 1 Rack (serves 2) of Smoked Baby Back Durac Pork Ribs
  • Coconut Scented Rice lime leaves, lemongrass (serves 2)
  • Choice of 2 sides
  • Texas Sweet Corn yuzu kosho aioli, lime, sunburst tomato
  • Crunchy Cabbage Salad ginger vinaigrette, cucumber, cashews
  • Sesame Rice Noodles chili vinaigrette, black sesame, green onion
  • Tomato & Cucumber Salad cantaloupe, cilantro oil, lemon zest, mint
  • Oak Grilled Snap Peas kimchee emulsion
  • 2 Salted Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies
  • *Optional add-on: “Mixed Six” ($38 value for $19), includes two beers from three local breweries:
  • 2 cans Alstadt Kolsch
  • 2 cans High Sign “El Berto” Mexican Lager
  • 2 cans Whitestone “Long Gone Blonde Ale”

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last.
