Holiday Dining Getaway to Hyatt Lost Pines Resort

If you’re looking for a unique getaway experience during the holiday season, there’s nothing better than a quick getaway to the Texas Hill Country.  Located just 23 miles East of Austin, on over 400 acres of beautiful, spacious acres sprawled along the banks of the Colorado River, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa has become a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway for every season of the year.

 

 

With nearly a dozen ways to relax and enjoy your vacation, families visit the resort for to enjoy their sprawling pool with their very own lazy river, as well as horseback riding, kayaking, golf, tennis, hiking through their Nature Park or a bit of relaxation in their full-service spa.

 

 

Holiday Dining

With 3 restaurants and a coffee shop on-site, Hyatt Lost Pines offers several ways to enjoy scratch-made cuisine crafted by their outstanding culinary team.  Invite the family to chowdown on authentic Texas cuisine and a diverse collection of dining options, including a fine dining restaurant, grab-n-go food stations, and a poolside casual menu.  Their on-site menus offer regionally sourced ingredients with a bit of Texas hill country flare.

 

This holiday season the resort invites guests to sit back, relax, and leave the cooking to the culinary professionals when you book an overnight stay.  Guests looking to dine-in can also enjoy a socially-distanced dining experience at the Firewheel Café, the resort’s largest restaurant. The resort’s Thanksgiving menu features family-style dishes with entrées of sliced apple cider-brined turkey, maple-glazed ham, and pecan-smoked ribeye.  Sides include buttermilk mashed potatoes, traditional cornbread stuffing, classic homestyle macaroni and cheese, and traditional desserts including slices of pumpkin and pecan pie.

 

Guests may also enjoy Thanksgiving dinner delivered to their doors while staying in one of the resort’s spacious suites.  Reservations are required and can be made for both delivery and private dining rooms by Monday, November 23 at 5 p.m. CST, and can be made by calling (512) 308-4640.

 

The Thanksgiving meal is only $42 for adults, $21 for children between 6-12, and free for children 5 and younger. Room service delivery and private dining options will include an additional $50 fee as well as a server charge of 25% for 6-15 people.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last.
