Greenhouse Craft Food in Round Rock has become well known for their creative and locally-sourced farm-to-table driven menu bringing a much-needed healthier food option to Williamson county.  Launched by Le Cordon Bleu alumnus Rob Snow, former executive chef at Mansion at Judge’s Hill, Greenhouse Craft Food specializes in quality and casual farm-to-table driven cuisine the entire family can enjoy.

Bacon Mac and Ceese

Greenhouse is unapologetically unpretentious, boasting their counter-style service mixed with their home-style comfort food.  The menu highlights the produce and bounty of Texas farmers and ranchers featuring hearty dishes including burgers, pasta, sandwiches and salads. My favorite was the House BLT, featuring Sourdough, uncured bacon, greens, local tomatoes, fried farm egg, and jalapeño maple jelly.  I also crushed the Big Pig sandwich which i’m quite sure was designed to put anyone in a 12 hour food coma.  It arrives stacked with braised pork butt, house-made pickles, smoked onions, slaw, and chipotle aioli topped with a sweet bun.

Vegetarians can also find solace in the Grass Eater Burger loaded with a house-made black bean burger patty, avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, roasted corn pico, and tortilla strips stacked with a tomato bun.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Specialty dishes include the deep fried Fish and Chips basket with wild caught black drum, fries, slaw, along with your choice of tartar or cocktail sauce.  If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll have to postpone your food coma a little longer to indulge in their daily specials including the hot cherry cobbler topped with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream.

Greenhouse’s farm-to table driven menu is loaded with delicious comfort food featuring daily lunch specials and weekly chef specials served every day which is a perfect fit in the burbs of Round Rock.  Most will enjoy their collection of Texas craft beer and wines along with a relaxed dining room making Greenhouse an excellent spot for casual dining.
