Garbo’s Lobster Prepares to Open New Location This Fall

This June, Garbo’s Fresh Maine Lobster is bringing its seafood bites to downtown Austin with a new location for their food trailer at 626 North Lamar. Garbo’s owner, Heidi Garbo, secured the space where the seafaring restaurant will open their second brick and mortar location in Austin this fall, called Garbo’s On Lamar.

This new Garbo’s location will be run by Heidi’s sister, Samantha Garbo. Beginning June 30^th, seafood lovers can order food to-go from the Garbo’s food trailer in the venue’s parking lot that Thursday through Saturday (June 30^th – July 2^nd), and every Thursday through Saturday following from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until the restaurant’s new space renovations are completed and ready for dine-in service as slated for September 2022.

Once opened September, Garbo’s On Lamar will offer a limited menu of selections similar to the brand’s food truck with items like crab cakes, lobster rolls, fried fish rolls, and more, as well as menu options for kids.  Guests will be able to choose from 10 seats at the counter inside as well as 10 seats available at outside patio tables covered by a new awning around the building to provide shade. Food will be available to-go via a walk-up window or order take-out online for pick up.
