Food Tank’s “All Things Food” at SXSW 2023

South by Southwest (SXSW) 2023 promises to be a feast for the senses, particularly for foodies and food enthusiasts. The “All Things Food” event, hosted by Food Tank in collaboration with Huston-Tillotson University and Driscoll’s, is set to take place at the King-Seabrook Chapel on March 12th. With an impressive lineup of 50+ speakers, engaging food film viewings, and a delectable spread of meals, this event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about the future of food and agriculture.

The day-long program kicks off at 9:00 AM and runs until 7:30 PM, offering attendees a comprehensive exploration of various facets of the food industry. From thought-provoking panel discussions to captivating film screenings and a theatrical debut, “All Things Food” has something for everyone.

Film Screenings

Attendees can look forward to three compelling food film viewings, adding an immersive and visual dimension to the event. Featured films include “Food 2050,” the new docuseries “Hope in the Water,” and “Wild Hope: Coffee for Water.” These films promise to shed light on the challenges and innovations within the food landscape, making for a thought-provoking cinematic experience.

A highlight of the event is the theatrical debut of “Little Peasants,” a production written by Food Tank co-founders Danielle Nierenberg and Bernard Pollack. This promises to be a unique and entertaining experience, providing a creative perspective on food and agriculture.

Speakers

The event boasts an impressive lineup of speakers representing diverse backgrounds and expertise. From A-dae Romero Briones of First Nations Development Institute to U.S. Congressman Earl Blumenauer, the speakers will share insights and perspectives on transforming food and agriculture systems.
