In the heart of Cancun’s most exclusive stretch of beaches and resorts, the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancun Resort & Spa stands out as one of the most outstanding destinations in it’s class. The the world class, award-winning luxury resort transports you to the enjoyment of pure relaxation and excitement with its proximity to the area’s spirited culture, entertainment, shopping and night life. It may not be all-inclusive, like many of it’s neighbors along the sandy white beaches of Cancun, but the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa offers a host of dinning options, spa treatments and other amenities that outclass the surrounding competition, setting you up for the vacation of a lifetime.
Imagine waking up every morning to a breathtaking view of turquoise Caribbean waters as far as your eyes could see. Each of the resort’s 602 suites offers breathtaking ocean views, bringing glimpses of sea and sand at every turn. All rooms are surprisingly spacious with plenty of room for unparalleled relaxation. The room’s décor is warm yet refined, naturally complementing the setting. Our suite provided an amazing balcony view directly out of a romantic film, with unobstructed views stretching as far as the nearby island of Isla Mujeres.
I’ll admit, I’m a complete stranger to the world of spa-treatments, but I heard the resort has one of the most outstanding and visually impressive spas in the entire world. Entering the spa immediately had me convinced that I don’t spoil myself nearly enough. The world-class 40,000 square foot Gem Spa is absolutely impressive. It’s stunning, sophisticated design and innovative treatments include a bevy of unique amenities – including a 10-step hydrotherapy ritual and 26 treatment rooms complete with luxurious, private VIP spa treatment rooms. I was a pretty unfamiliar with the hydrotherapy process but was told I couldn’t leave Mexico without a first-hand experience. My treatment started with 30 minutes in a large, warm pool for hydrotherapy followed by an aromatherapy steam room, a shower, clay steam room, ice room, sauna, rain shower, a jacuzzi, polar pool and a foot bath. After 20 minutes of relaxation with glass of hot tea and a few cookies, I was escorted to a private room for a professional massage on my arms, neck and shoulders. The entire experience is truly remarkable and unlike any spa treatment I’ve ever experienced.
The awe-inspiring pool is one of our favorite spots of the resort. It spans the entire length of the hotel boasting a rich blue “lagoon-like” atmosphere with numerous relaxing lounges and three poolside bars, including a swim-up bar; and a lobby bar, The resort’s gorgeous beachfront is continually regarded as one of Cancún’s best and is lined with tropical palapas along the sand. The seemingly endless stretch of sand embrace and the turquoise Caribbean waters is simply breathtaking.
The resort offers six restaurants to enjoy for any meal or special occasions. The award winning Le Basilic Restaurant is by far our favorite! It is highly recognized for the unique experience it offers, blending finely detailed elements of sight, sound and taste creating a unique fusion of flavorful experiences. The cultural-enriched dining experience features “art coming to life” with the works of Mexican artist Leon Alva, as he paints against the soft performance of a live jazz band enhanced by the French interior. Le Basilic’s menu is crafted by Executive Chef Henri Charvet, who created the French-Mediterranean concept in 2002. The excellent service and the magnificent menu add to these combined elements giving an experience to suite the finest of appetites. Le Basilic has won the distinctive 5 Diamond award since 2007 for 8 consecutive years, making it one of the only five restaurants in all Mexico with this recognition.
The Mexico of yesteryear comes to life in La Joya, the resort’s upscale Mexican restaurant. Vibrant Mariachi entertainment set to the backdrop of an artistic montage of nostalgic images of Mexico sets the mood while tantalizing libations and renowned cuisine makes this a continual favorite of locals and visitors alike.
Canopied by a grand palapa and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Isla Contoy, the resort’s beachfront restaurant, features fresh seafood and fish along with tropical-style drinks and impressive wines from around the world. Refreshing yet warm ocean breezes create a paradisiacal atmosphere both day and night.
Rounding out the resort’s culinary options is Viña del Mar, a beautiful oceanfront restaurant known for hosting Cancún’s most famous Champagne brunch and also featuring daily à la carte breakfast. Coral Café, a European-style bistro, offers casual fare including gourmet pastries and coffee for breakfast as well as sandwiches, sushi and other light bites for lunch, dinner and throughout the day while the Gem Spa Café provides health-conscious cuisine in a relaxed setting for spa-goers in between treatments.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last. Samir Mowad, SVP and GM of Caesars New Orleans, highlighted the significance of the transformation, stating, “This year marks 25 years since we opened in New Orleans, and the completion of this project is the perfect way to usher in a new era with Caesars. Synonymous with the Caesars name, our new resort is pure elegance, and we’re excited to introduce a luxury brand like this to New Orleans. We are extremely grateful for the support of the community, our team members, and our guests as we come to the finish line of this tremendous transformation.” The hotel itself is impressive,…
