Father’s Day is nearly here and Austin area dads will be looking for a few manly ways to maintain their dad-bods while filling their bellies on some of the city’s best dining out or stay-at-home options.

Whether you’re planning on dining out or firing up the backyard grill, here are several ideas that are perfect for spoiling all Dads for this Father’s Day in Austin.

Perry’s Steakhouse

Celebrate Dad this year by going to Perry’s Steakhouse to enjoy their smoked Kansas City special! Available for both dine-in and to-go at their Domain Northside and Downtown locations, guests can order a 22 oz. Smoked Kansas City Bone-In Strip for just $59 per person! For all patrons who pre-order their dinner online, they can also purchase the Family-Style Smoked Kansas City Bone-In Strip for only $199.

 

 

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is gearing up to celebrate dad in a very big way. Look no further than Fleming’s 20oz Prime Bone-In Ribeye & Lobster 3-course menu. Enjoy this delicious surf and turf while sipping on a drink as classy as he is. Explore their signature Old Fashioned made with Basil Hayden or a glass of Napa Valley’s rich Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon.

 

Truluck’s

In addition to Truluck’s usual amazing menu of seafood and steak selections, all locations will showcase the following entree for the Father‘s Day holiday served Sunday, June 19.  Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended, and can be made via OpenTable or by calling the location of your choosing.

 

North Italia

In addition to a delicious brunch, lunch and dinner, North Italia is offering a special gift card promotion in honor of Father’s Day. For every $100 purchased in online gift cards, receive a $20 bonus card. Offer is valid online only and bonus cards are redeemable June 20-July 20, 2022.

 

TLC

On June 19th, TLC is showing Dad the love with their Surf & Turf Special. When you purchase TLC’s Cowboy Ribeye, you get a complimentary 8 oz. Lobster Tail. The Cowboy Ribeye consists of a 22 oz Grilled Linz Heritage Bone-In Ribeye, served with Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus. Offer is available all day on June 19th. The Roosevelt Room

For those that are on the hunt for the perfect Father’s Day present this year, The Roosevelt Room has you covered with their Master Class Cocktail Series. In this series, The Roosevelt Room’s expert staff will teach your fathers the ins and outs of all things cocktails, spirits, and bartending. Each class is only $75 and available online via Eventbrite. Don’t forget to stick around afterwards to join in on the after-class Sunday Happy Hour Service – the perfect way to end the weekend

 

CARVE American Grille

For those who are looking for an easy way to celebrate Father’s Day with their family, CARVE American Grille is hosting their smoked Kansas City special. This special is available for both dine-in and to-go at Lantana Place, where guests can order a 22 oz. Smoked Kansas City Bone-In Strip for $59 per person. When pre-ordered online, guests have the option to also purchase the Family-Style Smoked Kansas City Bone-In Strip for only $199, enough food for four people. Family-Style comes with wedge salads, Smoked Kansas City Bone-In Strip, mashed potatoes and the option to add on the Orange Vanilla Cheesecake for dessert.

Cork & Barrel

For Father’s Day this year, Cork & Barrel is celebrating by hosting a crawfish boil from 12-4 p.m. Sunday, June 19. Joanna Lee will be playing on the Cork & Barrel patio where dads and their families can kick back, listen to live music, eat crawfish and enjoy a beer. All dads will receive their first beer free of charge.

 

Fareground

Celebrate Father’s Day at Fareground with all of Dad’s favorites –  BBQ, Bourbon, & Burgers! On Saturday, June 18th, Fareground is offering a day full of grilling and chilling including bourbon and whiskey tastings at Ellis and fresh made burgers with all the fixings. Trudy’s Tex-Mex

This Father‘s Day, bring your dads, papas, gramps, & abuelos to Trudy’s Tex-Mex on Sunday, June 19 to give him the first taste of their brunch offerings set to debut this coming weekend! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North and South Star locations, dads will receive a complimentary brunch food item when dining with the family. Aldrich Street

Fierce Whiskers Distillery

The southeast Austin bourbon distillery and modern tasting room is a great place to celebrate dads with a cocktail and a look at how Austin’s newest whiskey is being made. The distillery gives guests the wide, open Hill Country feel with six acres of outdoor space, while still being in close proximity to Austin’s city center, perfect for a special holiday like this one. Guests will not only be able to enjoy tasty cocktails from the distillery, but will also be able to snack on chargrilled Texas yakitori by Chef Chris Burnett at their on-site food truck, Char ATX.

The Lucky Rabbit

Lucky Rabbit in Jonestown is offering$5 Old Fashioneds as well as a Giant Chicken Fried Ribeye, served with house made green chili and bacon gravy, Texas-style green beans and mashed potatoes.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last.
