2ND Street District has recently announced the return of White Linen Night, downtown’s most anticipated culinary event on Saturday, August 3 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. Austinites are invited to break out their best white apparel for the coolest party of the summer with delicious bites and refreshing sips from some of Austin’s best restaurants. This year’s White Linen Night will feature live music from R&B singer-songwriter Tje Austin.
The announced restaurants from 2ND Street District include La Condesa, She’s Not Here, Taverna, Living Room Bar at the W Austin, CRÚ Food and Wine Bar, Yummi Joy, and Popbar Austin. Additionally, guests can enjoy food from Le Politique, Second Bar + Kitchen, The Backspace, Bob’s Steak and Chop House, Chispas, Revue, Swift’s Attic, and Hotel ZaZa Austin.
“White Linen Night is back for another year of wining & dining in the center of downtown Austin,” said 2ND Street District Regional Marketing Coordinator Alex Westermann. “From contemporary Mexican dishes and Pacific Asian cuisine to tasty frozen dessert pops and a wide selection of elixirs, White Linen Night offers an exquisite menu for all guests to enjoy. In addition to the wide selection of good eats and entertainment, this event truly caters to our community—all revenue generated will be donated to our beneficiaries, the Austin Food & Wine Alliance and Farmshare.”
Tickets to the annual block party include wine, beer, and cocktail offerings. Tickets are now available for purchase online at https://kiosk.eztix.co/kiosk-optimised/1198519 and are $55 for early bird general admission and $85 for early bird VIP admission. Guests with VIP tickets will be able to enjoy all White Linen Night offerings one hour early with entry at 5:30 p.m. and a complimentary glass of bubbly, and also take home a souvenir YETI Wine Tumbler.All ticket purchasers will be entered to win a staycation at W Austin with a gift card to TRACE.

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Republic National Distributing Company, and Waterloo Sparkling Water will also sponsor the event to keep the drinks flowing all night long.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last.
