Estelle’s, an elegant and upscale social club offering multiple bars, a restaurant, and a boutique-scale flower shop, has officially opened its doors, in the vibrant Warehouse District of Downtown Austin. Located at the intersection of 4th and Colorado, in the former Truluck’s building, Estelle’s is the latest venture from Austin-based NoCo Hospitality, renowned for managing popular establishments like Superstition, Higher Ground, and Skinny’s Off Track Bar.
Esteemed for its specialty cocktails, shareable bites, and a curated flower selection by local floral designer Native Bloom, Estelle’s welcomes guests into an intimate and refined first-floor bar and lounge. The second floor hosts a lively club room featuring a DJ booth. For a more exclusive experience, Estelle’s provides private seating areas with bottle service.
The bar’s extensive offerings include a selection of upscale wines, craft cocktails, and beers, all inspired by a botanical theme and a carefully chosen color palette. Highlights from the menu include the Matcha Martini, Granny Smith Gimlet, and the unique nori-infused Breton Water cocktail.
Food lovers will relish Estelle’s seafood shareables, small plates, and canapes. Indulge in delicacies such as caviar with everything seeded-English muffin and whipped red onion crème fraiche, seafood towers, shishito peppers, and delectable treats by Cookie Rich. Estelle’s also offers a happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 5-6 pm, featuring complimentary passed canapes and light bites.
Estelle’s boasts a richly adorned space that seamlessly blends grandeur with comfort, adorned with an eclectic mix of vintage pieces and mid-century modern art. A striking Calacatta Viola-clad bar takes center stage on the first floor, surrounded by inviting corners perfect for gathering. Ascending the dramatic and elegant stairway leads guests to the second-floor club room, where they can discover an additional bar, Hollywood-style booths, cozy living room-style seating, and a captivating DJ booth.
Chelsea Kloss, Director of Interiors + Curation for LV Collective, shared insights into the design concept, stating, “Our challenge with this project was to transform the expansive footprint of this building into smaller, more intimate gathering spaces—a beautiful juxtaposition of private moments within a larger volume of space. We worked closely with Variant Collaborative to develop a unique concept leveraging mixed materiality, vintage furniture and rugs, rich jewel tones, and an abundance of plants, breathing new life into the space. We are excited for people to experience the identity of this iconic property through a new lens.”
Estelle’s welcomes visitors to its expansive 16,000 square feet space at 400 Colorado Street. With a daily use occupancy of 481 and event occupancy of 1,161, Estelle’s offers ample room for guests to enjoy its luxurious atmosphere. New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last. Samir Mowad, SVP and GM of Caesars New Orleans, highlighted the significance of the transformation, stating, “This year marks 25 years since we opened in New Orleans, and the completion of this project is the perfect way to usher in a new era with Caesars. Synonymous with the Caesars name, our new resort is pure elegance, and we’re excited to introduce a luxury brand like this to New Orleans. We are extremely grateful for the support of the community, our team members, and our guests as we come to the finish line of this tremendous transformation.” The hotel itself is impressive,…
