Eberly recently introduced their all new Tasting Hours and bar snacks menu available all night Sunday and Monday – Friday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m..  The new menu features smaller versions of some of their most popular dinner dishes in the dinner menu, which allows guests to sample several different items to build their own tasting experience.

What to Order

The new Tasting Hours snacks offers a taste of items you’ll see on the dinner menu.  I recently stopped in to try a few items and fell in love with a few favorites starting with the Shells & Cheese with orecchietti, cream, aged cheddar, parmesan, gruyére and herbed bread crumbs.  The Brussels & Cauliflower with smoked chilis, maple infused balsamic vinegar and anchovies is a wonderful selection for a healthy option, but honestly I’d order it twice because it’s simple and outstanding and I’d most likely be sharing it with someone else.

The Butternut Squash Agnolotti with chestnuts, aged Parmesan, celery, and brown butter was delicious with a creamy, rich finish and good enough to make me want to lick the bowl (don’t worry I didn’t).  My absolute favorite is the Diver Scallops with toasted almond, grilled bok choy, Kishu Mandarin, and bonito butter.

In addition to the rotating selection of dishes from the dinner menu, Tasting Hours will provide guests the opportunity to sample several creations the kitchen is experimenting with, allowing guests to try something new and different from the chefs.

What to Drink

The restaurant also hosts happy hour in the Cedar Tavern, featuring half-off scratch-made pizzas, fresh oysters, and a charcuterie board, along with $4 draft beers, $6 wines by the glass, and a selection of cocktails for $7.  Guests are also welcome to order from the full dinner menu at full price.

Reservations can be made by calling 512-916-9000.
