South Florida is where it’s at for beach, sun, food & cocktails! Treat yourself to a visit to Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa (EPB) in Palm Beach, Florida. “Eau” is French for water and pronounced “O.”  Trust me when I say: The food & wine scene is burgeoning in this very chic beach town. Here’s a quick glimpse into what’s in store for your palette in Palm Beach.

Enjoy the Mediterranean Breakfast Buffet at ! If Mediterranean isn’t your thing, there’s ample variety at this buffet, such as quiche, potato hash, and the ever-lovely omelette bar. Also, there’s plenty of pastries, fruit and homemade breads.Temple Orange. Your eyes will be bigger than your stomach when you visit this spread.

Lunch at Eau Spa—order from their light menu and enjoy your lunch out in the Self Centered Garden, where you are entitled to be extremely self-centered. You’ll relax in swinging chairs that are suspended over a cool pool.

Dinner at Buccan

Said to be one of the hottest tickets in town, make sure to get reservations to this trendy upscale restaurant in the heart of Palm Beach. Enjoy people watching while your table is readied. You will want to sample everything on the menu. I heartily recommend the Hot Dog Panini, the Short-rib Empanadas, and the Gnocchi with mushroom ragu and truffle butter. Stay after dinner to hit the dance floor and work off those calories.

Breakfast buffet in the 4th floor Club Lounge of EPB—For an additional fee ($75 per person), you can reserve a 4th floor room with access to the Eau-mazing club lounge. With key card entry, you are welcome 24/7 with wine (you can special order cocktails & beer from the bar downstairs), sodas, water, coffee and a food buffet throughout the day. If you enjoy your meals & drinks here, the club level fee will pay for itself.

Walk to Worth Avenue for lunch at Pizza Alfresco (tucked inside via Mizner, the courtyard of Adison Mizner’s home). I recommend ordering a few pizzas and a few salads to share with your group. The courtyard of this shopping district is cozy and full of fashion. There were even models coming by our table, showcasing different stores. Right next to Pizza Alfresco, pop into the fabulous Babalu boutique, a concept started in Miami and a hit in PB. You can find the very best perfumes, colognes, candles, and accessories here. You’ll surely want to take home something you don’t need but have to have! Then, take a walking tour of Worth Avenue and its ‘vias’.

Dinner at Angle

Savor dinner at Angle, EPB’s fine dining restaurant. Enjoy their signature Spontaneous Tasting Experience & Wine Pairing. What I adore about Angle is the community table right in the middle of this ornate establishment. If you’re into group dining, grab a spot at this hot table and enjoy your dinner with other travelers. This chef-driven restaurant boasts an impressive wine list, as you can imagine.

Caesars Entertainment Unveils Stunning Transformation with the Grand Opening of Caesars New Orleans

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last. Samir Mowad, SVP and GM of Caesars New Orleans, highlighted the significance of the transformation, stating, “This year marks 25 years since we opened in New Orleans, and the completion of this project is the perfect way to usher in a new era with Caesars. Synonymous with the Caesars name, our new resort is pure elegance, and we’re excited to introduce a luxury brand like this to New Orleans. We are extremely grateful for the support of the community, our team members, and our guests as we come to the finish line of this tremendous transformation.” The hotel itself is impressive,…
