Are you a fan of margaritas and Tex-Mex cuisine? Look no further than the Margarita Mile in Dallas, Texas, the official home of the Frozen Margarita. This unique trail takes you on a journey through some of the best margarita spots in the city, offering the perfect opportunity to explore Dallas’ vibrant Tex-Mex scene.

From classic Tex-Mex dishes to hand-crafted cocktails, there’s something for everyone on this trail. In this travel guide, we’ll share some of our favorite spots that you won’t want to miss on your tour of the Margarita Mile. So grab your friends, put on your walking shoes, and get ready to indulge in the ultimate margarita experience in Dallas.

Beto & Son is the perfect place to kick off your Margarita Mile adventure. This restaurant offers a modern twist on classic Mexican dishes, and their margaritas are equally innovative. Dallas has staked its claim as the Official Home of the Frozen Margarita! Kick off your margarita experience with their frozen margarita mixology class and watch them make The Flora Liquid Nitrogen Margarita right in front of you.

Next up is Tejas, located in the heart of the Bishop Arts District. Their margaritas are made with fresh-squeezed lime juice, agave nectar, and premium tequila. The house favorite is the refreshing and clean Tejas Cucumber Margarita, which is best served on the rocks. Grapefruit lovers will love the frozen Paloma. This gorgeous restaurant also offers some of the most pleasant vibes for brunch or a patio lunch with your friends.

If you’re looking for an authentic Tex-Mex dining experience in Dallas, look no further than Mariano’s Hacienda. This family-owned restaurant that has been satisfying customers with their delicious menu and service for more than 50 years. Their classic margaritas are a must-try for any margarita aficionado, as they are made with fresh lime juice and a unique blend of tequilas that will tantalize your taste buds. Founder Mariano Martinez had to come up with an innovative solution to keep up with the demand for his popular frozen margaritas, leading to the invention of the Frozen Margarita Machine. This groundbreaking invention is now on display at the Smithsonian, a testament to Mariano’s creativity and dedication to providing his customers with the very best.

Las Palmas Tex-Mex is another must-visit spot on the Margarita Mile. Their famous “Mamarita” is a margarita with a twist – it’s served in a hollowed-out pineapple and topped with a splash of Grand Marnier. The restaurant opened in 2019, and since then the bartenders have been busy making traditional slushy tart lime margaritas along with other margarita flavors like White Peach, Mango, and Jalapeño. For the serious tequila connoisseurs out there, Las Palmas has an agave menu with more than 62 types of tequilas and mescals. They also serve up some of the best fajitas in the Uptown District.

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine is known for its delicious Salvadoran and Tex-Mex fusion dishes, but their margaritas are equally noteworthy. Try the “El Macho Margarita,” which is made with Maestro Dobel tequila, fresh lime juice, and a splash of Grand Marnier. Gloria’s Latin Cuisine is an authentic Salvadoran and Tex-Mex restaurant born out of the traditions of El Salvador. Gloria’s Latin Cuisine is known for their award-winning Prickly Pear margaritas, signature menu items, famous black bean dip and exciting nightlife.

For a break from Tex-Mex, head over to Terry Black’s Barbecue in Deep Ellum. Other than their outstanding central Texas style BBQ, their black margarita is one of the biggest attractions. It’s made with Lunazul silver tequila, mezcal, triple sec, and a secret black ingredient by Rudy Arredondo of Rudy’s Ritas. The unique frozen margarita machine gives the drink a fluffy texture. The regular price is $8, but on National Margarita Day, Feb. 22, it’s only $3 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Last but not least, end your Margarita Mile adventure at the Happiest Hour, a rooftop bar with stunning views of downtown Dallas, along with their spacious bar area downstairs. Their margaritas are made with fresh-squeezed citrus juices and premium tequila, and the lively atmosphere is the perfect way to cap off a day of exploring. The restaurant features over 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor bliss, camaraderie is instantly set with games and an expensive garden designed for all things spirit-lifting.
