13 Austin Restaurants Offering Cinco De Mayo Packages To-Go

With Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day right around the corner, most Austinites will be practicing social distancing and celebrating at home.  Holiday festivities at home doesn’t have to be boring.  This year’s Cinco de Mayo may be a little more hunkered down than usual, but it doesn’t mean you still can’t host an incredible virtual Happy Hour full of tacos and margaritas to celebrate with your friends.

 

Several Austin restaurants and bars are doing their part to help you enjoy a fun and festive Cinco de Mayo at home.  Enjoy multi-taco packages, fajita family orders and do-it-yourself margarita kits from some of Austin’s best restaurants with our guide below:

 

 

Peached Tortilla

Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner and Peached Tortilla is offering Family Meal packages that feeds 4Each meal includes 12 Family-Style tacos and three sides with your choice of 3 Tacos, Coconut Cardamom Rice, Japanese Street Corn, Chips & Guac, and an optional Margarita Kit add-on.  Meals can be pre-ordered online HERE.  Pick up for this special meal is at Peached Social House (6500 N. Lamar Blvd.) on Tuesday, May 5th from 12-5 pm.  

 

 

Comedor & Assembly Kitchen

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Comedor’s steak and seafood dinner package, which contains three of three of their most memorable menu mainstays, including their Heirloom corn tostada with a mixture of Gulf Shrimp, Smoked Tuna, and Spanish Octopus dressed in our house salsa macha and cilantro emulsion. Texas citrus aguachile with chile costeno rojo, charred cucumber, chile serrano, kelp oil, and kale chicharron. 12 oz. Peeler Farms Wagyu coulotte cut from the Top Sirloin served with house Chichilo Negro Mole, escabeche and Mexican heirloom corn tortillas.

Add their top-shelf margarita with a package that includes 375ml bottle of Altos Tequila Blanco (375ml), Grand Marnier (50ml), fresh lime-lemon-orange juice blend and Simple Syrup, as well as house-made lime-salt. Recipe directions are for single-serving cocktails and ingredients are good for three days.

 

 

ATX Cocina

ATX Cocina provides everything you need for a delicious Cinco de Mayo feast.  All tacos and enchiladas are made with daily ground heirloom corn tortillas. Don’t forget an order of Margaritas de la Casa.  Margarita Kits are also available – made with fresh juice, rotating spirits
and batched for sharing.

 

 

Santa Rita Cantina

Santa Rita’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration home package includes your choice of a Taco Kit Sombrero (Feeds 4-6) $44.95 with Rotisserie Pulled Chicken & Zesty Taco Beef, 5 Crispy Taco Shells & 5 Flour Tortillas; or a Taco Kit Fiesta (Feeds 4-6) $54.95 which includes Chicken Fajita & Steak Beef Fajita.  Both are available May 5th Call for Pick Up at 512.419.7482.

 

 

Revelry Kitchen & Revelry on the Boulevard

Revelry on the Boulevard and Revelry Kitchen are offering terrific margarita to-go specials, with Altos Silver Tequila (375mL) for $25; Pineapple Paloma (serves 6) – $35; House Margaritas w/ Altos Silver Tequila – $30.  Revelry Kitchen + Bar is offering the house Paloma to-go for $30 and House Margaritas for $25.

 

 

Torchy’s Tacos

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than with tacos and margaritas? Enjoy a fiesta with the following two options that are sure to make your mouth water!  Family Packs includes everything you need to experience Torchy’s DAMN GOOD tacos at home, with your choice of freshly prepared meats, tortillas  and  toppings, plus rice and beans. Serves 4-5 for just $25.  Margaritas To-go includes Torchy‘s Margarita Kits to-go in Texas and pre-mixed margaritas to-go in Colorado. Margarita Kits include a 375mL bottle of Tequila, house-made sweet and sour, lime wedges and a Torchy’s shaker. The Kits make approximately six delicious servings for $40. 

 

 

Lazarus Brewing Co.

Offering an enchilada family pack meal for both Cinco de Mayo with your choice of protein: Garbanzo beans with slightly mashed boiled potatoes sauteed with onions and jalapenos (vegan) or pulled chicken (Pollo); Queso fresco, lettuce, onion, cilantro, Salvadorean crema or cashew crema (vegan); Mexican rice and black beans.  Options: $20 for 6 Enchiladas +16oz rice + 16oz beans (*protein options can not be mixed) or $35 for 12 Enchiladas +32oz rice + 32oz beans (*protein options can not be mixed)

 

 

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Fuzzy’s Taco Shop! Pick up their fresh Mexican favorites including chips & guacamole, tacos and margaritas to take your at-home fiesta to the next level! Reunion 19

Build your own tacos at home with Reunión 19’s TacoLover Meal.  Each taco package comes with your choice of two proteins, eight tortillas, street corn or black beans, chips & dips, onion and cilantro. Don’t forget the tres leches for dessert.

 

 

Siete + LORO Taco & Queso Kit

Siete Foods and LORO have partnered for a special Siete-Loro style celebration filled with delicious food and local music.  For one day only, on May 5th, LORO will be offering a grain-free/dairy-free prepare-at-home Taco & Queso Kit.  Kit includes a Build Your Own Queso Pack (Siete’s spicy blanco cashew queso jar, brisket, green chili salsa, chili oil, and cilantro) served with Siete chips. It also includes a create your own taco pack, which includes Siete Tortillas, Shishito and Cabbage Slaw, Siete Habanero Sauce, and your choice of protein (prawns, bavette, chicken). A Siete Cinco de Mayo celebration wouldn’t be complete without live music – so the community is invited to tune in to Siete’s virtual concert featuring local artists  Angélica RaheThe Tiarra Girls, and Sam Houston. On behalf of the local artists performing Tuesday evening, Siete is making a donation to HAAM, an organization that provides healthcare for Austin musicians. Loro will be making a donation to Central Texas Food Bank.

 

 

Sawyer & Co

Families can enjoy a perfect Cinco de Mayo feast with Sawyer & Co’s menu, featuring Achiote shrimp, vegetable Calabacitas, and pork carnitas. You can add poblano jack queso, refried beans, guacamole, and other classic sides. Make it a party with a margarita kit or 6-pack of Dos Equis.

 

 

 

Cinco de Mayo Cook-A-Long

Bring the celebration of Cinco de Mayo and bring the experience of a (virtual) chef into your home. Chef Megan Turbeville will be live, guiding you through an interactive cooking lesson. The finished product, a home-cooked meal that can be tailored to your tastes!
This is a live cooking class done through Zoom put on by some amazing members of the local International Live Events Association Chapter.

There are two options including, *Order the ingredient kit from County Line (plus any additional ingredients for the tortillas you may not already have at home) .  You may also curate your own ingredient list from home and register for free!  Boxes will be available for pick up on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th ) from 10AM to 4PM.  In the mood to upgrade? Feel free to add a Margarita Kit from the County Line or some Cinco de Mayo themed desserts from The Cupcake Bar (includes a mini Pinata!!)

 

 

The League Kitchen

The League is offering a Cinco de Mayo Party Pack that can feed 4-6 people and includes Hatch Chile Pork Enchiladas, a nacho bar, tres leches, and a Herradura Margarita Kit all for $99.99.   Available at all 3 locations – Belterra (Dripping Springs), Avery Ranch and Lakeway and can be pre-ordered online.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans.
