It’s been three years since Austin-native Jason Sabala opened the now-renowned Buzz Mill at 1505 Town Creek Drive in the city’s burgeoning East Riverside neighborhood. Since its inception, the 24-hour coffee house and full-service bar has quickly grown to become one of the area’s most well-known coffee brands as well as a spark that kicked off the development of one of Austin’s fastest growing neighborhoods.
After seeing the success and progression of his “Neighborwoods” themed concept, Sabala– a lifelong veteran of the nightlife and entertainment industry– will expand the brand to a second location at 111 Pickle Street, just removed from the intersection of South Congress and Pickle. The new Buzz Mill plans to open this February.
The 15,000 square foot space, which Sabala refers to the “Buzz Mill Homestead,” will in many ways stick to the characteristics that have made it beloved in the community, but the new location allots Sabala and his crew an incredibly expansive space to further develop their concept.
The Buzz Mill’s South Congress location plans to open in February as construction is currently being completed. To learn more about the Buzz Mill, please visit https://www.
