Amid the ongoing recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mac & Cheese Festival Tour skipped out in-person events both here in Austin and in Portland. Looking to get back on track to serve hungry mac n cheese fans, the festival went virtual with a take & bake pop-up, offering ticket holders a chance to enjoy several tastings from local chefs in the comfort of their own homes.
One of the pop-up events featured a mac-n-cheese brunch theme, offering chefs the chance to flex their creative skills to offer a breakfast-style cheesy dish. Chef Janelle Reynolds, of Rosedale Kitchen & Bar, came through with the win, with her Brunch Carbonara Mac-N-Cheese with housemade breakfast sausage.
The dish was such a hit that it’s now available at the restaurant during the weekend brunch service. Rosedale Kitchen is located at 3800 N Lamar Blvd #170, next door to Kendra Scott and Snooze A.M. Eatery.
