With COVID-19 is still wreaking havoc on the community most of us are planning to safely avoid large public Super Bowl parties this year. Our ability to celebrate football’s biggest game shouldn’t be diminished by a lack of delicious Super Bowl snacks.
Several Austin restaurants are offering menu options filled with delicious bites and party platters you can enjoy at home all the way through the commercials and halftime show. Here’s some of our favorite options for Super Bowl party food in Austin.

(all locations: Burnet, Lake Austin, and Cedar Park) Tumble 22’s typical Monday and Tuesday only Chicken Picnic Special will officially be available on Super Bowl Sunday to satisfy your small group’s fried chicken needs for the big game. The Chicken Picnic feeds four people for just $25 and is a fantastic local option for small gatherings. It comes with your choice of 12 pc crispy tenders of 8 pc bone-in with your choice of heat level, two sides, and your choice of mini pie.
Family Packs and Margarita Kits To Go: Get the freshest seafood for your Super Bowl shindig. Choose from family packs that serve 4-5 people and include a seafood boil with snow crab, shrimp, sausage, hushpuppies, Mac & cheese and more. Margarita Kits include a 375ml of Dulce Vida Tequila and Jalapeño-infused house-made margarita mix.
East Austin fan-favorite Suerte will offer the holy grail of game-day snacks AKA *QUESO* on Super Bowl Sunday. They’ll also be offering a limited number of takeout-only Suadero taco kits to satisfy all your Super Bowl snacking needs. The kits, which include a variety of delicious items but most importantly queso, are $125 each and feed approximately four humans. Pick up is from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. The restaurant will be closed for all other dine-in and takeout services.
Wings & Watch Party: Super Bowl will be playing at the bar and wing platters are available for dine in and to go, featuring nine different flavors of wings by Chef Dom, along with appetizers samplers including mozzarella bites, spicy bean dip, quesadillas and more.
Gear up for 2021 Super Bowl weekend by making a pre-order beginning Sunday, January 31. Let Plucker’s do the cooking so you don’t have to miss a second of the game…or the commercials! Fresa’s is offering “Super Bowl Snacks” featuring six different snacking options from a party platter to Poblano Spinach dip. The restaurant is currently taking pre-orders and pick-ups will be on February 7th at either of Fresa’s two locations. Patrons can order online at fresaschicken.

Super Bowl Of Giving: Southside Flying Pizza is giving away 300 free large pizzas to those in need on Feb. 6th starting at 11 am at the S. Congress Location. First come, first serve. They’ll also be running a Super Bowl special: two large pizzas for $22 all weekend with $2 of every special benefiting the Central Texas Food Bank.
Trudy’s will be offering their “Big Game” package to guests to football fans this February. All packages will be available to order online for pick-up and delivery via Grubhub. The Fajita Festival package includes 3 lbs of Beef, Chicken, or Combination fajitas. Served with grilled onions and peppers, choice of tortillas. Spanish rice, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce, & cheese, red & green salsa & a large queso. It serves 6 people, all for $90.
Super Bowl Party Pack: Party Pack includes up to 3 flavors of wings, dipping sauces, crudite, 96oz cocktail (12 servings), and Girl Scout cookies. Packs include 30-60 wings.
ATX Cocina will be offering a taco and margarita kit package for $60.00. It will be available to be ordered online via Tock (official listing forthcoming) and the restaurant will also accept phone in to-go orders day of for this deal. The margarita contains 4-6 servings and the taco kit feeds 2-4 people.
For those who want another activity aside from watching the big game, Salty Sow is offering a “Dinner on Us” buy one entree, get one of equal or lesser value starting at 4 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. Dine-in only.

My go-to burger that is perfect for game-day is the Buffalo Bill made with a Piedmontese beef burger patty topped with blue cheese, steakhouse bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, buffalo sauce and Doddy Mayo. Hopdoddy also offers several kit options that are great for larger groups, that can be easily ordered and picked up just in time for game-day via Hopdoddy’s new online ordering system.

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino.
